Drilling 101

This course is designed to introduce drilling concepts. The presentation is based on the book, Applied Drilling Engineering, an SPE text book available online. Topics covered include initial preparation for drilling operations, mud, cement, bit, formation and fracture pressures, casing design considerations, directional drilling, and a brief discussion of the BP Blowout.
